The Worry Games

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

I have not added any new posts or pages in a while.  I have been so busy with Christmas!  I know this is a rough time of year for a lot of people with anxiety so be sure to take lots of time outs and give yourselves a few moments of absolute peace and quiet whenever possible.  Your brain needs that little break from the constant stimulation of noise and stress and non-stop activity.  Just go to a room, shut the door, shut the lights off and sit down and just do some deep breathing for about 5 minutes.    You will be surprised at how much calmer and more refreshed you feel when you are done.  If I don’t do this every once in a while, I think I might just explode because my house seems like it never “shuts off”.  In fact, it seems like my whole life never shuts off.  I am sure a lot of you can relate.

Count your blessings this Christmas and focus on the positive things in your life. We all have at least one thing to be grateful for.  We all have at least one thing that somebody else on this Earth wishes desperately that they could have.   So lets be glad for whatever that is, and try to make some new wonderful memories with our friends and families, and not let our anxiety take away from our holiday spirit.    Promise yourself that until December 26th, you are going to let it all your worries go and just focus on love and joy.  Then after that you can go right back to worrying if you feel you MUST,  but at least give yourself the next two days off and just have a wonderful Christmas. You deserve it!

xoxo
